Games built for the five minutes you actually have
Most of my play time comes in tiny slices: a queue, a bus stop, waiting for the kettle. The games that survive on my phone respect that.
Pixel Pit Crew is perfect here. A round lasts seconds, and losing costs you nothing but pride. You can play one hand while holding coffee in the other, which is basically the whole selling point.
The trap is games that pretend to be short but pull you into long menus and loading screens. If I have to wait thirty seconds to play for ninety, it's off the phone.
Look for instant restarts, quick loads, and clear goals. A great short-session game gets you into the fun before you've even settled into your seat.
